It looks like a "Fleshlight"!  Sorry, but that thing looks gay as hell....

It's kind of nice to have motion-control validated by the Big Boys, though I fear their ham-handed attempts at innovation or imitation. There comes a point where the simulation of Ping-Pong becomes so 1:1 that I'd rather play the real thing. Or not, because if I really wanted to play Ping-Pong, I wouldn't be playing videogames instead. The Sony controller looks like a cheap Chinese knock-off of the Wii remote/nunchuck. Sony has also changed the standard configuration of the buttons, which is only going to add to the confusion. They completely abandoned their "boomerang" controller in the face of mocking criticism, so I think this will get redesigned. I think they're trying to make a controller that can also play every other game, rather than changing the games to fit the controller, and unless you're willing to totally commit to the new scheme, it's never going to be more than just another peripheral.

I wonder if that light bulb is standard...

I have to admit the Start the Party! game really makes me want a Move.

It looks like fun.

For a week or two.

Then I could put it on the shelf next to the Wii and they could split the dust.

Replaying the whole of RE4 with the Wiimote makes me salivate at the thought of playing Dead Space 2 with Move.  Dead Space to me was what RE5 should have been.

However, it is not yet confirmed that Dead Space 2 will support Move.

And the $130 cost of entry is too much for me.  I feel the same way for the $150 Kinect.  Not hating on either, just budget constrained.  I'll be looking at both when a deal comes around.

I picked up a used Move bundle for a pretty good price.

I've played some Dead Space Extraction with it and it controls, well, like a really precise Wiimote.  The game is awesome.

I've also tried the archery in Sports Champions and it is pretty cool.

Do I think Move is worth $100-$130 new?  Probably not at the moment.  Maybe not ever.  Hardcore console shooter fans who will be playing Killzone 3 online may be the best target audience, but how big of an audience is that?
