Title: Socom 4 (April 19)
Post by: Glockdeucedeuce on April 11, 2011, 09:40:18 AM
Honestly have never played any of the previous SOCOM games, always had an interest but never did.  I was told they were like the old Rainbow 6 games, where you moved and command your squads movements.  Anybody else interested in it?

Also...   Move required or can I play with my standard six axis controller?  Any comments or news is appreciated :)

I had a lot of fun with SOCOM 1 and 2. I'd lost interest in the game by 3, which I'd read wasn't very good anyway. Dave and I got to see 4 being played at PAX. It looked terrible, both in graphics and gameplay. I don't know that it has Move support, but it wouldn't be Move-exclusive anyway.

Interesting.  I guess not a release purchase then.  I'll wait for the meta critic rating then.  Thanks for the heads up.

What?  Dave and Allen aren't metacritic enough for you??

Good counter point.  What maybe crap to you might be sunshine and flowers to me (e.g. Earth Defense Force).

Hence I wait for the yahoos to chime in on metacritic.  Honestly the reviews I like and listen to are Game Informer and GiantBomb's.

Right there with ya. EDF was a great "bad" game. And it wasn't even bad.  :)  Totally looking forward to EDF2.

Socom 4, not so much.  :)
