This guy says he got banned for using bad language on a Skype call?

Please tell me this is fake.

EDIT:  Now hearing that he got banned from Skype due to getting banned from online gaming.  So if the problem is he got reported for language in a game and as a side effect got banned from Skype, no sympathy from me.

I noticed you guys playing last night...still having connectivity issues?  I'm thinking of getting BF4 for Christmas....even though I always stink at Battlefield games.

My BF4 was COMPLETELY broken for days (crashed before I could get into a match, did the whole 'you want to upload this crash report' thing).  I deleted and and reinstalled it yesterday and it seems to be working OK now so I'll try to get on soon.

Beer Monkey got his oringal PS3 banned from PSN due to accidentally letting it logged in with a hacked OS.  I decided to start over clean.

Well, I have my PS4 with BF4 and Killzone, though of course PSN is down from the load (oh, Sony).

I'll be online a lot tomorrow afternoon and evening.  Gamertag LexLucidity.

Anything to make me feel better about my Xbox defection is welcomed news.  I don't care if one system is better than the other, but I do like hearing good things about the one I plunked $400 down on.

You'll probably like this high-def BF4 multiplayer video capture then.  So smooth.  So detailed.

That's great to hear considering I just paid off my pre-order 3 days ago!

And the hits just keep coming.  CoD:Ghosts is 1080p on PS4 but only 720p on Xbox One.

Honestly I'm a bit stunned that Microsoft allowed such a power disparity this gen.  I think they dropped the ball.

BF4 runs with 50% higher resolution on PS4 (versus XB1), more effects/lighting, and a higher average framerate.

Definitive (console) version confirmed.

In related news, I bought a DualShock 4 and have been using it on my PS3.  I played some Modern Warfare 2 demo on it, and I must say this is a MUCH better controller than the DS4 and is competitive with the 360 controller.  The fit is better for people with man sized hands, the analog triggers are concave and not 'slippery', and the sticks are so dead/loose.  This is a fine controller for the next generation.  I'm actually using it as my primary controller with The Last of Us.

17 days and counting...

So, Sony is giving $10 credit back for every $50 spent on PSN until October 29.

This means if you buy the digital BF4 for PS3, the $10 upgrade fee is basically covered for you, so you get digital BF4 for PS4 on launch day.  Then you have BF4 on your PS4 forever without having to put a disc in.

If you bought BF4 PS3 and BF4 Premium for PS3 you'd spend $110, get $20 credit back, use $10 of that credit to transfer to PS4 (the game itself, Premium transfers for free), and have $10 credit left over.

I don't think Motion Plus is required for any Wii U games.  And no, the new Pro Controller doesn't work in the vWii (virtual Wii) mode.

I'm getting BF4 and otherwise leaning on my Plus membership.  I may not buy another game until Infamous.

Though if Killzone takes over the world, I might get it.

I'm really looking forward to the 2DS. I have a few 3DS games, but it's a bother to borrow Chloe's 3DS XL, and the 2DS is a good price for just occasional gaming. I don't often use the 3D effect, and rarely even turn up the sound, so the mono-only speaker doesn't matter. And no hinge to break!

I always use headphones, so I don't really mind about the mono output.  I think 2DS is a logical entry for the product line.  Be warned there are a couple of places in Super Mario Land 3D where you actually need the 3D to navigate an area (bad game design decision IMO) but YouTube can help.

I'm guessing the drives are harvested, but that's just a guess.

Headset!!!!

(packed in)

I support this 100%.  Sony was making Microsoft look really silly on this bullet point, glad to see the reversal.
