Ed Fries consults for Sony Online

Through some complex turns, Ed Fries is consulting for the new Seattle dev studio that was created by Sony Online.  Of course the fanboys are crying turncoat.  Me, I think MS would have been better off keeping Ed by giving him the control that he wanted.  He wouldn't let them release half-baked ideas like Live Arcade.

I hope he can bring some innovation to Sony's online offerings.  Standardizing a front end, ala Live, would be very helpful.
