Downloaded the Seesmic iPhone App last night. I love it!! So much better than Echophone (which was running incredibly slow for me). It loads really quickly and it is very user-friendly. Also, I can access Facebook using the App as well (just the newsfeed, I think. That's all I really care about anyway...).

Picked up Battle for Hoth the other day.  Played a couple missions but so far I'm really liking it.  It's a pretty good tower defense game with clips from Empire thrown in.  Worth the $2.99cdn I think.

Release day for the iPhone 4 is tomorrow. Still nothing from the 'Big 3' regarding hardware upgrade options. Figures.

You can turn your phone into a wifi hotspot for tethering a laptop/netbook/iPad. You can have lockscreen info, which is one of my favorite uses; I can preview emails, IMs, news, weather, etc. Make custom icons and have more icons in the dock. Actual multi-tasking. Direct downloading. If you have an older iPhone, you can also have folders. Go to http://cydia.saurik.com/ and look around.

So now that my wife and I both have iPhones, we have started running into problems with syncing, iTunes and reading emails. We use Outlook for calendar stuff, share the same yahoo email address and have different iTunes log ins.

An Apple tech support guy told my wife that you really shouldn't sync two iPhones with one PC. I thought that was sort of hard to believe. Everyone in one house who has an iPhone needs their own PC?

Basically, my wife has been having trouble getting our email on her phone. I have no problem at all.

Mr. Apple told her that what we needed to keep everything synced up pretty was a $100 yearly sub to Mobile Me. Mobile Me works great with appointments in Outlook, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't solve the email problem. What do you multiple iPhone households do?

What do you multiple iPhone households do?

Multiple computers. But that's just because Wendy and I already have separate computers. But that's definitely something crappy about the whole setup. I mean, you can have separate login profiles and (supposedly) separate file areas for different users in Windows - but apparently iTunes doesn't take advantage. It just dumps everything in a communal folder, which makes it tough (impossible?) to have multiple iPhone/pod/pad syncs on the same PC.

Sucks.

It sounds like less a problem with multiple computers or iPhones, and more with sharing a single email address. It might not be pushing the emails to a 2nd iPhone since it has already sent them to the 1st. Aren't you getting email wirelessly through 3G anyway? My emails come to both my iPhone and iMac and are marked as read separately. Where does syncing come into play there?

I know you can't sync one iPhone with multiple PCs, but I don't see the problem with multiple iDevices on one PC, especially if you're signing into iTunes with separate logins.

My wife deleted the email settings and then set it up again and it seems to be working now.

We jumped on the internet together, virtually clueless about it, in 1995 and set up an email address. We've both used the same email ever since. At least we have always shared the same email address.

I think the Outlook problem is a Microsoft thing. The Mobile Me takes care of that issue, just not sure it is worth the dough.

Suzannah and I have our own accounts set up on our Macbook.  We share the iTunes library, so the only consideration is that it can't be open on the other's account when trying to sync.  As Allen mentioned, sharing the e-mail address is your big issue.

Mobile Me works great for me - syncing between my work iMac, Macbook and iPhone is automatic.

I don't think Mobile Me is worth the money. And I can't imagine sharing an email with my wife. What would she think of all the nude fatty pics Bryan likes to send?
