Feh.

According to this forum, the poster has some suggestions.

Best thing to do is try to change some options such as resolution or video settings. Also I find playing in window mode (Apple + M) tends to have few problems.

is there a rule that says you can't get socketed items from a store in the 3rd act in d2? wtf?
i also just got my first set item here: some dude's sword. since swords are suxxors to me, i sold it. the only place to get socketed gear around here is out in the world.

Rumor has it there's another World of socketed items. It's name slips my mind, though...    ;)

I got an invite this morning and I had just enough time before work to kick off the updater.  Waiting for my kids to settle down and then I'll be testing out the beta.  I very excite!!!

PM sent!  I'm glad there are so many helpful people on these boards.  While I'm at it let me tell you about a large sum of money that I have recently acquired with specific instructions to hold it for you...

On topic, Diablo III is looking great.  I started out with the Demon Hunter class, which seems to be a combination of trap skills and bow/crossbow attacks.  The art style manages to be dark and brooding while colorful at the same time.  The beginning areas are very linear and I was concerned that it would stay that way with no exploration but toward the end of my session last night I found myself in a wide open area, sometimes discovering groups of 20 or so enemies.

On that subject you occasionally get XP bonuses for killing massive groups of mobs in a short period of time.  This is accompanied by some voice-over work and it really makes you feel like a bad-ass.

The skill system, as you have no doubt read, has been overhauled.  You earn new skills as you level, but you may only have a certain number of active skills at any one time.  They can be swapped at will, and the number of active skills you are allowed increases in level increments.  By level six, for example, you have three skill slots but six or seven skills.

I'm nearing the end of the playable content with the Demon Hunter, but I'll start again until I have played each of the five classes.  So far I am very impressed.
