Based on several people's recommendations, I got the PDP trigger extenders for the Dualshock 3.  They've helped a bit, although I've still got major issues with the aiming and movement in Killzone 2.  What I really want, though, is to replace the whole controller with something better.  Does anyone have experience with any of the 3rd party PS3 controllers?  I've seen a few that directly mimic the 360 controller, so I'd probably lean towards those, but I'd love to hear some positive reviews for any other options.

But this adapter that Chris directed me to will allow you to use your 360 wired controller on PS3. Everything works with it, except of course motion detection.

I got one, and it works perfectly. I definitely like Killzone 2 a lot more now - but it still doesn't feel like Modern Warfare 2. That's just how KZ2 feels, I guess.

But the adapter works great.

Note when reading the comments on that page - most of the comments are for a different version of the device - like one guy says it doesn't work with Killzone 2 (the other version)

This version works fine with it.

I greatly prefer the controller with 'triggers' attached but it doesn't make me actually LIKE the controller.

I'm really hoping to see Move supported, effectively, in lots of PS3 games, just so that I can avoid the Dual Shock!  Having completed RE4 with the Wiimote/nunchuk makes me salivate at the possibility of Dead Space 2 with Move control (though I don't think Move support is confirmed for anything other than the upcoming 'HD' version of DS:Extraction).

Killzone 2 has less aim assist than a normal console shooter.  Combine that with a frustrating controller and you have a recipe for pure gamer irritation.

Another problem with the PS3 is that most games have a large deadzone coded into the software itself.  This is something that will remain regardless of what controller you use.  I am much more accustomed to the typical 360 deadzones at this point.

I bought a Cross Battle 2.0 (latest model) and the sensitivity is messed up, now I have to sell it on Amazon.  Once the stick is moved about 40% to the side it registers as 100% for that axis and you start spinning around at the maximum speed.  Sad  It seems to be a design flaw.  Mark, does your version do this?

I may try the DS3/Sixaxis PC drivers to get a firmer handle on what the Connect 2.0 is doing with sensitivity.

It turns out that Killzone 2 has 12 frames of input lag, which may be contributing to the problems that people have with control in this game.

12 frames is a LOT.  A fifth of a second.
