Apparently, Home had an update which provides public voice chat, cross-game invites, parties, inventory management, etc. Sony, on the cutting edge of multiplayer gaming, circa 2005.

I do find Home to be a very interesting concept, though without a lot of friends online it's rather boring. I am the ONLY person I have ever seen with a fat avatar; everyone else looks like a supermodel. I guess Playstation just attracts a better-looking class of gamer.

I don't think that the PS3 attracts more attractive people, per se. Live gamers just spend more time playing the 360 because it is a far superior system. So, we get out less, burn less calories and are fatter for it  :P

I think Sony deserves a lot of credit for what they've accomplished with Home.  It can't be easy to make an even more boring version of Second Life.

Ok, that was funny. I have to admit, I was balling up my fist as I read the first sentence.

I'm giving some serious consideration to selling my 60GB PS3.  It's in awesome shape (since I never use it to play games, just blu-rays).

Forgetting for the moment the fact that I haven't actually played a game on the PS3 for almost a year, is there any first party PS3 only games coming out over the next year that are considered "must haves"?

I've not gotten around to finishing GOW3, which I might try to do before selling, nor have I played the newest in my beloved Ratchet and Clank series so I just can't see a great reason to hold onto it just to keep it as a noisy Blu-ray player.

I'm thinking I could get $300 for it, with the Sony BT remote, Six Axis and DS 3 controllers and all the cables and the original box.

Thoughts?

Gamestop will give $80 in trade....  Just sayin'. :)  Most ebay auctions I've seen have these going in the $250 range...  Shoot, I'd be happy to get $200 for it all...
