Summer Vacation
« on: July 14, 2005, 09:12:52 PM »

Well I just got back from my first trip of Summer 2005 and I thought I'd share a couple of pics.  My wife, stepson, and I went to Samuel P. Taylor State park for a week of camping.  It's a great state park here in California that my family has been going to for years.  This was my first time camping there however, and it was a great time.  Sleeping amongst the redwoods is a nice break from Long Beach.  The pics are all full size so I linked them.

Here is our little four person tent:

Here is the creek right behind our camp site:

Here's a picture of all three of us by a giant redwood:

Here's my stepson sitting on what's left a first growth redwood:

Here's my stepson and me walking down the creek:

Here's my stepson and me on a rock:

Here's my sister having a rather large Corona:

And finally, here's a picture of our campfire one evening:

So, if anyone else has taken a vacation lately, Show it off.

My dad, brother and I went to Cabo a couple of weeks ago.  I'll post some pics when I get home.

We went to our place on Sanibel Island, FL for five days and then north to Disneyworld:

Cool pics, everyone! I've spent the first part of my vacation moving (SO close to being done!), but we do have a stay at a beach house in Long Beach coming up, as well as a night at the Paris hotel in Vegas. Maybe I'll get some pictures out of those trips.

Took a drive out to Ball's bridge (yes, that's the name) with Greg (Screwnut75) and my friend Mat from London (Ontario, not England).

Check out the pics!

While not really a vacation, I'll just post these here.  I just returned from attending the Canadian National Expo in Toronto.  Great time!  Lots of celebrities, lots of people, some wicked costumes!

See all the pics and descriptions!

A few highlights:

Is that Crispen Glover in the last pic  ??? It looks like him and I can't think of a reason for him to be there signing autographs.

Yep, that's him.  He was there as part of the Sci-Fi and Horror Expo portions.  A bit of a stretch maybe but still cool!

{{<BIG BUMPP>}} from the archives.

We are heading to Sanibel this Thursday for ten days of sun, sand, tequila and fun.  This is going to be our 29th July 4th there, and we are STOKED!

I know Jeff heads to the Outer Banks or somewhere like that, and Matt climbs redwoods in Cali...
What is everyone doing??

I'm going on another baseball road trip in July with my bro.  Going to see an Indians game in Cleveland, then going to hit Cedar Point and then we're off to Cincinnati for a Reds game and to harass Mike while we're there as well.  :P

Then I'm going on another little trip over Labour Day weekend.   ;)

Alas this year the redwoods will have to get along without us.  Instead we’re going on a family trip to Hawaii!  All the in-laws from my wife’s side will be there.  Should be fun (thankfully we’ll have our own room).  I think we’re gone for seven days starting July 19th.

I'm poor as hell.

I may buy a roman candle and set it off in my back yard.
