I'll tell you what (and I'm not being sarcastic).

Last I heard, Xbox 360 is likely to become a major MMO platform:

FFXI
Huxley
APB
something from Square
Marvel Comics
Vanguard (possibly)
TFLO (maybe)

If anybody gets a decent non-asshat group together for one of these games on 360, I'm willing to rent for a few weeks and give it a try.   I guess I shouldn't pre-judge a genre that I've never tried before.

I definitely won't play every night, though, and I won't play until 3am.

I'd like to see Puzzle Pirates on 360, but it's never happen.

If I'm going to grind, I'd rather grind with puzzle games than battles.

For anyone interested in trying out WoW, it's down to 30$ at EBGames.com.  You do get a free month to try it out, so this might be a perfect opportunity for you to try out the best MMORPG on the market right now.  IMO of course.

I can second that. I didn't mention it in my 'hello'...but my wife and I have been playing WoW for almost a year now (over a year for her...she was in the Beta). Now I play maybe every few days or so, but there was a time when it was 5 hours a day at least. And if anyone wants to party up, I'd be happy to make a new character and start out again. Nice thing is WoW plays very well solo, if that's how you choose to play.

Some of the screens on the Burning Crusades official page are just breathtaking.  I've always said that WoW has the BEST art direction of any MMORPG and it really shows.  Blizzard has some of the best artists, and some (if not most) of WoW currently is just a sight to behold.  I can't wait to see some of the new zones, and start a playable Blood Elf character.

I cannot stress this enough - If you have ANY interest in trying out a MMORPG you cannot go wrong with WoW.  It's easy to get into, deep, offers tons of content and is just FUN to play.

Not only is it the best art direction, but the best world design as well. The continents are a joy to play in. So many others have that "wide open flat area" feel to them. WoW's landscapes are simply beautiful AND interesting. A forest actually feels like a forest should.

I actually ordered this yesterday from ebgames, after GameStop wouldn't honor the coupon...wtf? It's the same company.

 ::)

Anyway, for the sake of my GPA I am not going to open it until this semester ends in about six weeks. I'll be sure to check back then and see if we can't get a party going!

Smart move. :)  Once you start playing, let me know.  I'll roll a new character, and we can group together.

Yeah, I'm in as well. Rolling up a new char and starting over is fun from time to time.

Well, I played for just shy of my free month trial and it is a great game, but I can't afford to spend the amount of time it requires (like an addict requires a fix) to play. So, if anyone has been itching to try it out, I would be willing to part with the CDs on the cheap. PM me with an offer if you are interested. I believe (I'd have to check) that an "invite-a-friend" two week membership code came with it.
