No TV today.  Tomorrow now.  Still excited, and this leaves me some time tonight to finish cleaning up.

So the saga of my TV continues....

Monday - Get call in the morning.  No TV today.  I'll get it Tuesday.  I decide to go into work and take Tuesday off.
Monday night - Call in the evening.  No TV on Tuesday.  I've already taken Tuesday off, so I figure I'll stay home and prepare for delivery on Wednesday.

Tuesday - Uneventful.  Verify a few times that TV will be here on Wednesday between 1:30 and 3:30.  Finish cleaning and setting up area that TV will be going in.

Wednesday - Go to work.  TV delivery at ~3:45PM.  TV BROKEN.  SCREEN DAMAGED.  Call and complain.  TV delivery now scheduled for Friday, and shipping cost refunded.

I'm actually in a good mood considering I havent watched TV since Sunday night.  Or played Xbox.  Or played Xbox 360.

More news as events warrant.

Sorry about that dude.  We are all looking forward to seeing the photos of your set and yourself quietly weeping happy tears after you see the PQ.

Well, I put the stand together last night and loaded it up with the components I wanted on there - Xbox 360, Receiver/DVD, AV switch, TiVo, HD cable box, PS2.  It all fits very well, and looks pretty awesome.  I also bundled my speaker cables in an effort to keep the wiring semi-neat after this is all said and done.  I also got my surge/UPS system last night, so that's charging as I type this.

I almost took a picture of the nice empty stand and everything last night, but decided to just post a completed photo when I get everything set up on Friday night/Saturday.

At least the damage was obvious.  Would have really sucked to get it all set up only to find out it wouldn't display in progressive or some such thing.  And now you get free shipping which is nice.  Gotta look at the positives.

That really sucks that it came damaged but it will be worth it once you finally have it.  Can't wait to see the pictures!

And Friday turns into Saturday...  They called me to verify that I wanted Friday (I originally wanted Saturday and their records showed that) but I missed the damn call because I wasnt at my desk, and I didnt get the message until it was too late.  Oh well.  I wasnt planning on being home tomorrow night to mess around with it anyways.  Plus, this way I can be here when they open the box and the TV is broken again. :P

Is this one of those "George Glass/Brady Bunch" situations where you say you have a new TV but it turns out you made the whole thing up just to look cool?  :-*

It sure seems that way doesn't it?  I swear, I just want to watch ANY TV at this point.  No games, no TV, no movies.  This sucks!  ANd if something happens on Saturday - no delivery, broken, etc. - I'm going to push for getting the 50" Samsung DLP. :D

Ok, Chris. It's not that we don't believe you. I mean...I believe YOU believe you are getting one.

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

I think I'm going to cry.   :'(

I do have an alternate plan if my TV doesn't get here tomorrow in a working condition.

Please tell me it doesn't involve gasoline and old rags.
