Am I the only one excited about a poker room coming to the 360? Provided, of coarse, you can play for real money or even XBL points. A play-money poker game would be pointless, so I cannot imagine the designers going that route. Uno and SF II are going to great, also, but I am curious if there are any other poker players here that will play the rooms when the software is launched? Thanks-

Hey there, herb!  Yep, I'll be playing poker when it gets released.  Playing for MS points would be great, but I'm not sure if there will be any option except play-money.

Welcome Herb!

Beer Monkey (Mike) is a big time, real world poker player, and he shares your opinion about playing for fake money.  Me, my interest increases as my chances of losing real money decreases so I'm sure I'll be playing.

Well, I probably won't be playing either way. Poker is a pointless game without the risk of losing money, so I won't play a play-money version. I'm not very good at poker in real life, so I won't be playing online even if it's real money. I'm content to play poker once a week with some close friends and I attempt to keep my losses to a minimum. I play to socialize with them...I don't play anywhere else.

I recognize what a good game poker is, I'm just not willing to dedicate enough time (or risk enough money) to get good at it.

Oh...and...Welcome to tehbias.com, Herb!

Id bet my entire hand that Microsoft won’t let any monetary transactions happen over Xbox Live between customers, at least not for gambling.  Maybe you’ll be able to buy your friends pimped out ride at some point, I don’t know.

I’m not the biggest poker player but a free poker game and play money will get me to hang out and socialize easy.  Amongst friends you can always have a little side bet going anyway.

And Mark, I didn’t realize you had to pay to hang out with your friends.   8)

Welcome to TB Unky Herb!  Glad you made it.  I don't know the first thing about Poker but I wouldn't mind giving it a spin in the Arcade.

I don’t like this $2 for horse armor crap.  As a matter of fact I’m getting rather disgusted with all the $1, $2, $2.50 crap their pawning off as premium DLC.  Gamer pics should be free or unlockable in the game.  Friggin’ horse armor should have been included in the game, not $2 after a $60-$70 dollar game purchase a month after the game was released.  Maybe if people bitched on the forums that their horsy would look better in armor then create some and sell it to us.

I’ve purchased one theme and two picture packs through the Market Place.  I’m done.  No more that nickel and dime crap for me.  I’ll pay for an Arcade game no problem (not the fish game for $10) and I’d even pay for some real content like extra quests or new maps (provided the game shipped with a fair amount).

At least the update for Kameo (online Co-op) is free.  I’m sure it would have been hell for MS if it wasn’t though.

My Outpost Kaloki gamer pic was an unlockable early on in the campaign.  I'm surprised developers aren't doing this more often.

Yeah, instead of just Achievement points how about a couple of Gamer pics for finishing games/levels.  A cool pic for finishing COD2 on Veteran would be better than points, imo.  Might entice me to try and play though a few games on harder difficulty levels so I could proudly display my cool new Gamer pic instead of my 4396th point.

(I'm kinda bored at work today)

Meh, $2 is just $2. Not that I don't agree with most of what you said, but I picked up the horse armor for my black horse. It almost makes it worth it just because I don't lose her as much when I dismount and run around. Your horse should show up as a marker, or you should be able to whistle and have it show up.

I really haven't bought much content: the Oblivion evil picture pack (using the points from my Live kit) and now this. I suppose if I was spending a ton of money on Arcade and other pic packs it might get annoying, but for $2 I'm all over the armor.

I am pissed about the way they did it: I wanted to look at both before hand, but you just choose steel or elven and that is it. Then, you can pay 500g and buy armor at any time, but when I tried it took my gold and said my horse was too far away even though it was in the stable...plus, there is no way to see what boost in AC it gives to the horse that I can tell.

Hopefully, it is not just for show.

Bankshot Billiards 2 in 3D!

Quote
The next time you fire up ‘Bankshot Billards 2‘ from Xbox Live Arcade, you’ll be prompted for an autoupdate. I don’t know everything that is in the update, but I can tell you that it now allows you to play the game in a new 3-D mode.
